St Peters Kubatana Industrial Training College (ITC) is one of the 5 industrial training colleges under the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development. The industrial training college is mandated to develop and implement skills training programmes for, entrepreneurship, job creation and industrialisation. The realisation that skills utilisation is the fulcrum of productivity which leads to economic and national development has prompted the government to expeditiously work towards the implementation of the heritage-based education 5.0. The reconfiguration of education and training to education 5.0, whose pillars are teaching, research, community engagement, innovation and industrialisation is geared towards producing graduates with relevant practical knowledge, skills and attitudes in order to transform the country's economy into an upper middle economy by 2030 as enunciated by His Excellency President E.D Mnangagwa. Building on the high literacy rate that has already been achieved by the country in the early 80's, our focus is to accomplish the Ministry's above mentioned new policy dimension, which seeks to develop a human capital base which has the potential to produce goods and services for uplifting of the economy and industrialisation.
